Abstract
The article examines the current state of domestic tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to official statistical data, particular attention is given to the analysis of the dynamics of domestic tourist flows, the structure of tourism consumption, the development of resort areas, as well as the main directions of state policy in the field of tourism. In addition, official sources indicate that after the decline caused by the pandemic, domestic tourism has become one of the most dynamically developing segments of the industry, as the number of domestic tourists and the volume of tourism consumption within the country have shown steady growth. The study identifies key challenges, including seasonality, uneven regional development, infrastructural constraints, and service quality, and outlines the most promising directions for the development of domestic tourism within the framework of the Tourism Industry Development Concept for 2023–2029.
